Given the space limitations in a van, we suggested they use our Four Grand-Mere F1030CC+ with the unique steel strap system for fixing down to the table they were getting made when fitting out the van.
The oven has a low size to weight ratio meaning they could get a large oven installed with minimal load but still have enough mass to keep the oven hot overnight. The 1030 has half the mass of our standard ovens with a 40mm thick dome instead of 80mm and 60mm hearth instead of 80mm.
With the supplied insulation, the oven is faster to heat up and uses less fuel, a feature that mobile caterers really appreciate when setting up on site. For a specification on this oven see our commercial oven list and scroll down to Le Grand Flamme.
The 1030 is our most popular oven for mobile caterers but if you’ve got the space we have a larger lightweight version, the 1200L that has the same strap system.
The F1030 has served them well over the years and is still going strong nearly 7 years down the line. Our ovens are made to last and if you treat them well, should keep going with very little maintenance for several generations.

I moved from London 3 weeks ago and one of the things have at the end of a tiring day is the luxury of ordering a takeaway. Then I was told about Devon Woodfired Pizza and went to order some. Oh boy and I really mean this. This is the best pizza I have tasted outside of Rome. The base is thin and so unbelievably crispy, the sauce fabulous and my American Hot tonight has not dissappointed. Who knew I had to move 201 miles to get a decent pizza, I count my lucky stars every Wednesday that I have !
